What does a chair mean to you? To sit, to rest, to relax, a feeling of attachment, lightness, warmth… It is a small thing, yet it has the power to make a space your own. At home, I share my life with JACO, a miniature dachshund. Living with JACO, smaller than any chair, one day my perspective quietly shifted. “How does the chair appear through JACO’s eyes?” Born from this curiosity of mine, this installation came to life. If one could see the world through the eyes of a miniature dachshund, if one could inhabit that scale and look up at a chair, what would one think, what would one feel? In this exhibition, we trace the journey of a single chair from concept to completion, culminating in a final review of the last sample before this chair is to be produced.
