“YOKOHAMA TIMBER WHARF” Opening on Friday, October 17, 2025 Film Viewing Event to be Held for 3 Days at Rinko Park!
“YOKOHAMA TIMBER WHARF,” a new complex facility in Rinko Park, Minato Mirai 21 district, Yokohama City, led and operated by DRAFT, will officially open on Friday, October 17, 2025. To celebrate its grand opening, a three-day outdoor film viewing event will be held from October 17 (Fri) to 19 (Sun).
Born as a new cultural hub that brings vibrancy to Yokohama—a city rich in art and culture—YOKOHAMA TIMBER WHARF will feature a special film screening for its opening event, showcasing movies carefully selected by prominent figures in the fields of art and culture.
Film Selectors
Creative leaders across diverse fields—architecture, music, animation, literature, and gastronomy—will serve as selectors, curating films that bring joy, inspiration, and enrichment to people’s lives. The selectors include architect Taiki Yamashita, designer of Yokohama Timber Wharf; artist Crystal Kay; book director Masataka Haba; Ryota Hirako, owner chef of peace put Co., Ltd. ; and animation director Abel Gongora of Science SARU Inc.
