Milan Design Week 2026 – A Giant Chair Appears in a Historic Theater: The Inspiration Behind the Idea
The July 2026 issue of ELLE DECOR (released on July 7, 2026) features DRAFT about DRAFT, the installation presented by Yasuki Yamashita during Milan Design Week 2026 as part of the Fuorisalone program.
This year, the installation "LAST SAMPLE" was unveiled at the historic Teatro Gerolamo in central Milan. Inspired by the perspective of Yamashita's miniature dachshund, the installation centers on an oversized chair that invites visitors to experience design from an unfamiliar scale and point of view, encouraging a fresh perception of space and everyday objects.
